Therapy for Veterans in Ontario
For many of us, being a Veteran is a major part of our identity. We want to provide you the support you need while navigating the complexities of life beyond the uniform.
Counselling for Veterans
As a Veteran, Richard Piekaczyk-Vacca understands the challenges of transitioning into civilian life. The attitudes, beliefs, and values you developed in service may not always transition easily into civilian life.
As a Veteran, you may also struggle with Military service-related trauma, such as PTSD, anxiety, and depression. These challenges can make it even more difficult adjusting to civilian life, whether that is maintaining relationships, employment, or overall well-being.
As Veterans, we share a unique culture regardless of what we did or where we served. Whether you were a Combat Engineer like Richard, served at a naval base, or are an American or another NATO ally, we are connected as a community of Veterans.
Service has changed us and can complicate our journey back into civilian life. Our attitudes, beliefs, and values helped us try to make sense of our service. However, sometimes translating these aspects into civilian life can be challenging. For some, the wounds of moral injuries can also follow them outside of service. Explaining our perspectives of the world, our relationships with others, and even our self-perception can be challenging to convey to those who have never had boots on the ground.
You were never meant to serve alone. Do not suffer alone. If you are a Veteran of the CAF or RCMP, Richard is also a registered provider and offers direct billing.
